October 22-24, 1997, Regal University Hotel, Durham, North Carolina, USA
THEME:
The focus of the symposium concerns the building and use of dependable distributed and parallel systems, particularly with system properties such as reliability, availability, and performance. In addition to traditional submissions, we welcome papers that deal with experimental results, testbeds, development, and datafrom operational systems. We especially encourage timely papers that describe industrial projects, experimental systems, exploratory applications in large networks, and topics related to the next generation of large reliable distributed systems.
TOPICS OF INTEREST:
The major areas of interest include but are not limited to the following topics,
as they relate to reliable distributed and parallel systems:
- System-Level Fault Tolerance
- Databases and Transaction Processing
- Software Fault Tolerance
- Parallel and Distributed Operating Systems
- Reliability and Performance Modeling
- Fault-Tolerant Object-Oriented Systems
- Security
- Global Information Infrastructure
- Programming Language Support
- Dependable Parallel and Clustered Systems
