Previous: Connecting the Circuits
Before connecting the servo controller, you should test the other
portions of our board to make sure they are working.
- Turn on your circuit.
-
Set the multimeter to read DC voltage.
-
Test the amplifier you designed by applying a small DC voltage (
)
at the non-inverting input and determine if the output voltage is
what you would expect it to be.
-
Disconnect
and connect the
non-inverting input to
.
-
Connect the multimeter across the output of the amplifier.
-
Vary the potentiometer from one extreme to the other, to find the range
of values you can obtain at the output of the amplifier. Record this range.
-
Is the range great enough to drive the servo controller? If not, you should
redesign the amplifier to give greater amplification.
