Op Amp Configuration

  As discussed earlier, amplifier circuits which utilize op-amps as linear amplifiers require feedback circuits to control the gain (amplification). The output voltage of the op-amp can never exceed the power supply voltage levels, called ``the rails" of the power supply. In this section, we shall examine two types of amplifier configurations for the op-amp (Inverting and Non-inverting) and the gain provided by each.
