Life Science Electives

Majors in Biomedical Engineering (BME) and dual majors in EE or ECE with BME are required to take a Life Science Elective in addition to the other specified courses in biology, chemistry and physics. Students who have studied biology in depth in high school but do not have AP credit (BIOLOGY 19) may, with instructor permission, take higher-level courses which have BIOLOGY 25L as a prerequisite.

Students wishing to substitute other life courses not on the above list should obtain prior approval from the BME Director of Undergraduate Studies.
